Pregnant patient with Dyspnoea

06/10/2020

33F 30/40 pregnant with shortness of breath.

HR 115, BP 95/60, sats 97% on 4L O2, RR 28, afebrile.

Bedside ECHO shows dilated right ventricle compared to left, and a "D" shaped left ventricle on PSAX suggesting RV pressure overload - in this case from a pulmonary embolism (which was also confirmed on CTPA). She deteriorated, requiring thrombolysis and is now doing well.

What would you expect the IVC to look like?
